Anatomy: A Photographic Atlas Prepare for the dissection lab and operating room with Anatomy: A Photographic Atlas, 8e. Featuring outstanding full-color photographs of actual cadaver dissections with accompanying schematic drawings and diagnostic images, this proven text depicts anatomic structures more realistically than illustrations in traditional atlases. Chapters are organized by region in the order of a typical dissection with each chapter presenting topographical anatomical structures in a systemic manner. Authentic photographic reproduction of colors, structures, and spatial dimensions as seen in the dissection lab and on the operating table help you develop an understanding of the anatomy of the human body. Functional connections between single organs, the surrounding tissue, and organ systems are clarified to prepare you for the dissection lab and practical exams. Clinical cases and over 1,200 images enhance your understanding. Dissections illustrate the topographical anatomy in layers "from the outside in" to better prepare you for the lab and operating room. Luis Donoso huesosnegros — This book is amazing. Even though the language is quite hard to understand, the book is basically okay.

Jason Zhan luckymasker — Just loved this book. I am a big fan of little sister and big brother's best friend getting together. Also, we were introduced to Julianne and Hawk in Ms. Dreiling's previous book and they were throwing off sparks then (at least on Julianne's side). But, with the way Hawk always teased her, I knew their story would be really good.

Basel Mousa baselmousa — Great story, but it's just a repeat of Angles & Demons, so once you've read two of Dan Brown's stories, the books don't seem so great anymore.

Michelle Li s_michelle — Review originally posted here: http://thebookpushers.com/2011/08/25/... Publisher: HQN Publish Date: Out Now! How I got this book: NetGalley Silver has created one of the most intriguing paranormal romance worlds, one in while I keep coming back for more! *NOTE: THERE ARE SPOILERS FOR THE FIRST THREE BOOKS OF THE SERIES IN THIS REVIEW* Loken is finally reunited with his body and trying to get out of the null zone so he can find and protect his daughter. He spends most of his time wandering and trying to get out, only to be pulled and told he will have a guide to help him through the Twelve Gates so he can get back to his daughter. Bryn has been on the run with her daughter ever since Lokan’s death. But when she is found and gets a better understanding of what exactly happened to Lokan, she worries even more for their daughter’s safety. She makes a deal to help Lokan get back topside and despite their history, the two must rely on each other to get out of their own hell. One of the most difficult things for me to read in any book is a broken up timeline. When things go from present to past to present to an alternate past to present to past and so on and so forth, my brain goes on overload and shuts down. While I can appreciate why the author does it, as a reader it drives me crazy. This story does that… constantly. The story itself was amazing though. I’ve been waiting to see how Lokan would get himself out of the null zone, how he would face his father, and what was going to happen with his HEA. Needless to say, it all rocked! I loved the way the story wrapped up and how it all came together. As everything unfolded I got more and more excited for Lokan and his brothers, knowing their revenge would be sweet. I wasn’t disappointed. It really was a perfect ending!! The romance between Bryn and Lokan felt…rushed? odd? to me. Maybe because it was broken up so from the present timeline and the past timeline of when they first met and the years they spent raising their daughter before Lokan’s death. I wanted there to be more between them, and although they had a past together, their passion and romance just didn’t click with me. The sub-plots with Lokan’s brothers was well done as well. Watching them fight to get back their mates, do everything in their power to protect their niece and get their brother back was a refreshing change to the dark story line surrounding Lokan. Plus, I love Mal, Alastor and Dagan. I don’t know what Silver’s plans are for continuing the series, but I hope she writes more within the world. We only got a glimpse at Bryn’s brothers, but I wouldn’t complain if they were next up for an HEA. It would be interesting to see more details about the other supernatural creatures in the world. All in all Silver writes another jam packed novel featuring extensive world-building, descriptive and imaginative scenes and lots of sexy times. While there were some things I didn’t like about this book, I was very happy with how the overall story arc with Lokan was resolved, and happy to see it work out so perfectly! I give Body of Sin a C

Ral - _oof_rchit7d37 — Ok I had just written this long, good review about it and my computer crapped out. I'll simply say this: if you're into overly detailed, selfish accounts of a person who cares only about himself up until he makes a stupid mistake and his life changes, then read this. If you like mountaineering or adventure books, you may like this a lot more than I did. If you're simply curious, you can either watched the excellent film based on this story "127 Hours" which I thought was much more to the point of the accident Ralston had and what he learned; or you can read the last three to four chapters of this book. I'm not saying this book was not well written and interesting in some parts, but the end was where it had the most impact (and the least improperly used vocabulary and poetic language). It did actually bring me to tears at one point, but only briefly. The rest of this story just makes you wish you had the privilege of living a life as self-important as Ralston's. The redeeming quality here is that he appears to have actually learned a thing or two about the world after this happened to him. At least one can hope.
