Myriam B bouimamyrie667 — Interesting story of a couple and she gives birth to twins. One was born a healthy son and the other a daughter with Down Syndrome. The twins were separated at birth by their father that feared that the daughter would die and sent her to an institution, telling the mother that the daughter died. I don't want to ruin the story, but she doesn't go to an institution. So, the whole story is how this father could ever live with himself... but what I really enjoyed was reading how far we have come in our society to love and accept those that are different or have different challenges. In many ways this was a tough book to read, but I really enjoyed it as well.

Maia Kassimo maiamkassi6e5c — a man and his son wage a one-and-a-half man war against two crime families to avenge the murder of their family in the prohibition-era midwest. a great read, but i think they got the pacing better in the movie. and i'll eat my shoe if richard piers rayner didn't actually use paul newman as a model for john looney.

Joao France joaofrance — I read this one when I was a kid and it scared me to death. Amazing writing and what I've read recently about how Capote dealt with the situation makes me want to read it again. If I dare.

Agnès Le aalg — Well, so most of this is probably made up. Does that matter to me? Sort of. When I first read this I thought, "Wow, important and interesting read." I was kinda psyched. When stupid Oprah (Why does she appear so often in my reviews?) exposed James Freys lies and he said something to the effect of "This is a real-life fictional story." I don't know what that means. So in the end, I still like it, but I'll re-read it someday as a fictional story. And it won't be as good as the first time around.
