Jaffrene Islam jaffrene — This is the second novel by Stephen Hunter that I've read, and while it doesn't quite hit the cartoonishly hypertrophic heights of Dirty White Boys , it's more tightly focused and plotted. This is both good and bad, since after the first 100 or 200 pages it feels as if the characters are all slaves to the plot, which is unfortunate, since they actually had the potential to be pretty interesting people. On the plus side, the technical details of marksmanship and rifles are all pretty interesting, and--unlike so many overwritten thrillers--integral to the story.

Kaan çelik kaancelik05 — I had high hopes for this book. I was expecting lots of laugh out loud stories about crazy customers. I was kind of disappointed. Though it did have some good stories, and offers a good look at the typical life of a waiter, it mostly revealed how immature and irresponsible a lot of waiters are. And I didn't care for the writing. The author got the book deal after his blog became really popular but the book reads more like a blog. I like blogs, but I don't like books that read like blogs. I wouldn't really recommend this book.

валентин троицкий troickiy19f216 — When i got this book i was afraid it was going to be another last book in the series failure. But oh boy was I pleasantly surprised! The Forgotten Locket was truly incredible! Lisa Mangum's writing has always been good but i thought it was especially impressive in this novel. Her words flowed off the page and sounded almost like poetry. They soothed and excited, saddened and delighted all at the right moments. The story never had a slow part and was filled with plenty new and exciting adventures for Abby and Dante. I'm sad to see the series end, but can't wait to see what Lisa Mangum will come up with next!

Morgan Kristensen morgankr — I have read numbers 1-6 of the Lakeshore series and they hard to beat if you just want an easy to read entertaining romance novel.

Alizée Adamek alizeeadamek — Very engaging, easy read. I read it in a few hours. Kind of improbable story line and a little far fetched, but interesting and a good story.
