Interestingly, my nephew was in the musical. His father is black and his mother is white. Several of the cast members told him he had no place in the musical because he was not all black. Yet, if considering their genealogies, how many of them would be? But I digress. Unencumbered by what I remembered, I listened to the audiobook, expertly read by the author, and loved it! Next time I'll have to read it in print form!
