Kipkurui Sadique _teamellar — I don't read poetry very often, but this was a short volume so I decided to give it a try, and I'm glad I did. Littlecrow-Russell is a member of the Ojibwe tribe and a lot, though not all, of her poetry deals with racial/ethnic identity, the frustration of dealing with wannabe Indians and Whites' romanticized views of the noble Indian, and the pain caused by economic isolation, alcoholism, and grinding poverty in many Indian communities--and the contradictions that arise when you're a smart, intelligent Indian woman who has become a lawyer, in a world that doesn't expect such things to occur.

Alyssa Daubs _lyssa_aubs — A big disappointment. A terrible book, perhaps even pornographic. Also dull.

Ema Zanotti emainteriordesigner — Laugh Out Loud Fun! This book is about the Smythe-Smith girls that we have all come to dread and love in the Bridgerton Series. I for one love the Bridgerton Series and was excited to see that Julia Quinn came out with another series that includes the same characters. I think I laughed through the entire book. Plus I have a soft spot for music. Yes, my family is one of those who everyone must learn to play one or two instrument and sing. Now not all can do this well or at all. So reading this brought back memories. I think this book might take place during the same time that Romancing Mr.Bridgerton. I am not positive but I think I remember a violin being stepped on by Lady Danbury in one of the other books. Recommend: All those who loved the Bridgerton Series really should read this book. Likes: *Loved the humor. Julia Quinn has always been witty and I find that Honoria can be just as witty as Penelope. *You get to see the real Smythe-Smith girls and understand that they two(for the most part) know how horrible they sound. But the show must go on. *Marcus can compete with any of the Bridgerton men. His story is just as lovable. He is astranged from his father and spent most of his time with his Best Friend Daniel Smythe-Smith. Therefore we get to see him interact with Honoria from a young age. *One of the highlights for me was when Honoria's ploy to get Gregory Bridgerton to help her back to a house party (via digging a small hole and pretending to trip and sprain an ankle) back fires and Marcus ends up with the sprain. Things I didn't like: *I wanted more of the story of Daniel and why he was exiled. I am pretty sure she will write a book explaining all. *I didn't want it to end. Fav. Quotes: "“No. Haven’t you been listening?” Marcus would always remember that moment. It was to be the first time he would ever be faced with that most vexing of female quirks: the question that had nothing but wrong answers.” " " “I shall have one, too," he told her. "So that you don't feel alone." She tried not to smile. "That is most generous of you." "I am quite certain it is my gentlemanly duty." "To eat cake?"
