Joey Green _eba_ind_ricks — This story makes the reader want to do something. I feel like I wanted to jump into the pages and help scrub Jolly's house clean and hug those little kids. The name of the book comes from making the best out of the circumstances life has given you. Jolly feels stuck in her surroundings and the fortuitous meeting with LaVaughn helps her see how life could be different. LaVaughn answers an ad and becomes Jolly's babysitter and friend. Jolly needs a push to make better choices and to accept help when she really needs it and LaVaughn is the perfect person to push her. This is a story that makes the reader want to do better. It makes the reader want to look out for those people in their lives that need their attention and a little guidance. I believe this is the first book in a triology and I think I'll have to revisit this series before long.

Alberto J ajbelloso — The author outclass this story the hilarity, and descriptive words of the teenager named Holden. The authors narrative, and funny used of words I laughed the whole time I was reading this book. Holden, was a teenager age of 16 years who's trying to find out life on his own way. A typical teenager with full of devilish idea, and wanting to be different......just be contented his life by catching on the rye. Holden's fantasy; He tells her (Phoebe) his fantasy of being “the catcher in the rye,” a person who catches little children as they are about to fall off of a cliff. Phoebe tells him that he has misremembered the poem that he took the image from: Robert Burns’s poem says “if a body meet a body, coming through the rye,” not “catch a body.”

Cristhian Villarreal _eal — If you don't mind a plot that is improbable to the point of being irritating, this is a well written mystery in what I consider to be the "classic" style (as in before mysteries had to be either cozies or thrillers). Really, other than the plot, this was very well done.

Tesfa G tesfage124 — I bought this book at the airport to read on the plane in order to prevent other people from talking to me in flight. Ever since then, I have been addicted to the Harry Potter series.

Misshelle Baloa missh55 — It wasn't one of those stories that lingers with you, but I enjoyed reading it. Interestingly, there wasn't one character I found likeable. Each seemed limited by their unwillingness to overcome their circumstances, yet each was uniquely stubborn.
