U L lufeng666 — This is a thriller of a high order, even though it's totally a true story. Strictly speaking, Eichenwald shouldn't have withheld certain information from us until the end, but I forgive him because this was so much fun.

Sana Deshmukh sana_d — This book was great! I really liked the story and the characters. But, I would have given this five starts if it wasn't for a few things. First, the way that scenes flowed from one to another was kinda confusing sometimes. There's not a gap in all of the scene changes so you have to go back and read where the new scene started. Second, I don't know if I just wan't paying attention, but the day after Nora goes out with Patch, Vee asks about the date and I don't remember Nora telling her about it. And the third thing that REALLY bugged me was the way that Becca Fitzpatrick just listed everything Nora did. Example: "I splashed cold water on my face, scrubbed my teeth, and tamed my hair into a rubber band. In my bedroom I pulled on a clean shirt, clean jeans. I called Vee." (386) Umm, okay. And i care about this, why? A character needs to be driven to do something. And I don't see how Nora was driven to do all that random stuff. Fitzbatrick could have easily written "I got ready for the day and called Vee." Okay, sorry about my rant, but it's over now. I know it sounds like I hated it, but I really did like the book. I like the character of Patch. I can see how some people might relate the book to Twilight, but it's not THAT similar. There are only a few things, like meeting in biology. But to the people that wont read this book because they don't like Twilight, that's CRAZY! This is a completely different story! And a good story at that! I can't wait to read the next book!!!

Gerda Lombaard _erda_ombaard — This is the first in a series of three books about what the first few years of serious global warming effects might be like. Even though it's set in the very near future (approximately now), I'd still categorize it as science fiction. It's heavy on technical details and most of the major characters in the book are scientists, but like other Kim Stanley Robinson books I've read, he does a great job of keeping the characters interesting. He's a writer I'd be inclined to recommend to someone who might not typically be interested in reading science fiction. This book made me feel like an ass for not sticking with my science education. I could be making a sweet climate laser right now rather than building web sites. Anyway, the book was good enough to make me want to want to read the other two in the series.

Arun Kumar tktarune144 — A very fast paced book. I really liked Penn Cage, the main character, who is a prosecutor turned author. This is actually book #2 in the series, so now I'm anxious to read Penn Cage #1.
