Underdog Studio bettieunderdoga3f3 — This beautiful, existential, noir-crime novel gives the reader an intimate look at present-day Warsaw, awash in capitalism and despair. It was really quite moving but I found it a bit hard to follow at points.

Aidoo Harry aidoo — This series is exceptionally cheesy, over-the-top teen romance. That said, it is still a decent read. The story is interesting and left me really curious to know more and see where the rest of the series is going. If you are able to get past the occasional swooning teenager, I would recommend it as an entertaining read. And on the plus side, it doesn't spend entire chapters of the two main characters staring into the other's eyes and constantly describing their incredible hotness (yes, I'm looking at you "Twilight"!).

Koichiro Ishikawa koichirois4c84 — So i havent gotten all the way through it yet, but let me tell you it is riviting. A must read.

Tony Ashraf toniashraf — I'd really give this book 4.5 stars, but it's still recommended. A slightly postmodern take on a historical fiction response to Alcott's Little Women, this tells the father's story from his perspective. A neat extrapolation off of Alcott's father's life during the Civil War (fitting, since Little Women was inspired by Alcott's real-life family), vegetarianism and Unitarianism and all. He serves as a chaplain in the Union army... so it's not an at-home narrative, nor is it an in-battle narrative, which makes it a bit different from all the other CW fiction I've read so far. I'd take away a half-star, 'cause about three-quarters into the book the narrative shifts to the wife's perspective. I kinda understand why (won't tell you, 'cause it's a spoiler), but it still irritated the heck outta me. Pulitzer winner in 2006... and for once, deserved.

Haymitch: He was the winner of the 50th hunger games he is always drunk and is a mentor for district 12 At first i thought that the hunger games wasn't that good of a book.Because of the thought of children killing other people wasn't a very nice to be reading it. But after my friends started telling me to read it i finally did!I started reading it and it started to get very exciting! It was very hard to stop reading once the games begun. The setting of The Hunger Games is in district 12,the woods behind district 12, and the arena where the games are. A summary of The Hunger Games is they have these games that are called "Hunger Games" each year. Its like you go into this arena and try to kill all the people from each district there are 12 district's and 2 people are chosen randomly from each district. And only 1 wins from 24 children and if they do win there district gets a year supply of food. The main problem of this book is killing other children and if you don't win you die and son't get the food your district needs. The things I loved about this book is the way she wrote it the action and how she some how combined lots of romantic stuff in a book of action and killing. A quote that i liked is "Katniss? Peeta says,I meet his eyes, knowing my face might be some shade of green. He mouths the words, How about that kiss?" I loved this part of the book because is was so funny and so cute. There was nothing i hated about the book just when Peeta and Katniss fight another quote that i didn't like was " so what your saying is, these last few days and then i guess... back in the arena ... that was all a strategy you two worked out!" The theme of this book is Hunger Games that pretty much tell you a lot or an idea of what going to happen. There is a lot of uniqueness in The Hunger games because most books aren't about killing other people and they don't have districts like in this one so that is why I think this book is very unique. Would I recommend this book to anyone? Yes i would it's a very great book I really think that you should read this book.

Michelle Li s_michelle — This play is a great as it is action packed and emotional. First performed in 1949, Death of a Salesmen is based on the life of the Great Depression. The protagonist of Willy Loman, who is a aging, failing salesman who is also providing for his family. He is also having trouble with "the truth" of failing his own son, Biff. In the end... well the title pretty much explains it. But reading this book is really worth it as it will give you the humor and the loss in the walls of a American home in the Depression. This play is great and one of the best I read besides Romeo and Juliet. There is a great development in characters and conflict. It's easy to read and its in the "everyday" language. Reading Death of a Salesman is a piece of cake!
