I must not be artistic enough for this book. I felt like all the characters had the same voice, thoughts and ways of looking at things. Take away names and genders and you would not be able to tell one from the other.

Like the other two books, the author does two things, (1) he is sometimes too detailed which often comes across like reading a spec sheet or grocery list and (2) most of the players in his books are interchangeable - meaning that almost all the men are stupid pigs and all the women are strong and opinionated (my problem is more of the awful picture painted of almost all the men in the 3 novels, I actually love a good, strong female character). My other criticism, directed only at this book, is that he could have completely took out one of the sub-plots that served no purpose as a driver to the main points of the book. With that said, the trial portion of this book was riveting and fast-paced, truly the best section I've read out of all three books.

Magnifique. A la lecture de ce livre on se dit que le monde est plein de ces gens qui sont les super héros de notre temps. Le héros d'aujourd'hui et de demain n'est pas superman, mais simplement celui qui oeuvre pour les siens, parfois modestement. Ces gens dont les projets sont décrits en quelques pages se sont jetés à l'eau, et leur aventure a parfois pris des proportions phénoménales. A lire !

3.5 This book didn't get the wheels in my brain turning until the last 3 pages, so I found it difficult to really be impacted by the upsetting events. Connects to Extremely Loud in the idea of existence and something being out there much bigger than the physical matter of yourself.
