An easy read, and quite enjoyable too. But then again I may be biased since I have always loved historical novels, especially those about my ancestors (as my partner and daughter love to point out). It's not as complex nor as detailed as Bette Bao Lord's Spring Moon, but it still paints an interesting picture of China's history, and of course the importance of nu shu writing and having a laotong in the lives of the women of ancient China. It would've been better though if there were more historical details and the two characters, Lily and Snow Flower, were provided more characterization.

The Final Book to the Unfortunate Events. This book is truly sad i feel so bad for the Baudelaire family. All of there relatives died because of Count Olaf and at the end he dies. So basically at the end everybody dies and they are still on there own. While with Olaf the Baudelaire help Olaf with his plot and a lot of things happen to them. This book was interesting because there were a lot of ups and down, but finally it was an ok ending for it being the end of the series. I would recomend this book to anybody who like this series because it was a pretty good book

This book was good, but not quite outstanding enough to merit keeping around on my bookshelves. I'd recommend it for a summer book to read in the park under a tree. It's good light reading.

Will Beall - author 4/5 Hardboiled, crime-noir set in modern day, gang-ridden L.A. Addictive stuff, I only hope Mr. Beall writes further books in this style.

This book is by far the saddest book I have ever read. It wasn't a crying sad, more like a sick feeling in your stomach sad. VERY well written though and a great read. Couldn't put it down.
