Another nice addition to the Women's Murder Club series! Lindsay (a homicide inspector), Jill (an Assistant DA), Claire (Medical Examiner) and Cindy (news reporter) all come together to help Lindsay solve her crimes. This time the girls must take on a case that seems both racially motivated and also a war against cops. A young black girl who's relative is a cop is gunned down in front of her church, and more horrible murders (including the police chief) soon follow. It is up to the women's murder club to get to solving the murder before someone else is next! I love this quick, breezy series. These books can be read within a day and I like the fast-paced action and fun. Great book for a rainy day!

If you want to read a very touching story that grips you and doesn't let go even after you are done ,i would highlly recommend this book. Even now i wonder what would be happening to the characters. It's long but very well written, and expect to not be able to put it down.

"man would rather believe than know...." Superb & meticulous research with powerful & persuasive evidence on the origins of religions & worship & myths & superstitions. I had the quote above highlighted and I see the person reviewing this book before me also referenced the same quote. Awesome. I recommend this book to anyone outside of the mindset of "because it says so in the Quran or the Bible or any 'books of God'" 5 stars.

It took me forever to get around to reading this, but it was so worth it. Cloistered monks are in charge of the written relics of Saint Isaac Leibowitz. Grim, hilarious, brilliant, complex, prophetic and brutal all at the same time, kind of like a haute cuisine dessert. Hurts so good.

This book is by far one of my favorites. I found this book to be really engaging, and I connected well to the characters. I love the English history used in this story the time the story took place and the history of the English royals all fascinate me. I found myself connecting with Mary the most. Her personalty is much like my own. While reading I found myself thinking a lot about the rights of women. In the 1500s (time period of the book) women had little say in who they married, where they lived, how they acted, and who they engaged with. Women were pawns, used to gain status for their family. This is what happened first to Mary and then Anne. However, Anne seemed to be the symbol of change for women, but as I read on I learned that Mary was the symbol of change. In the begining Mary fallowed the rules and did what her family needed her to do, but as the story progressed Mary desided to fallow her heart and do what she knew was right. At the end of the story it is somewhat ironic because Mary fallowing the rules and being kind to the king saved her from death, unlike her sister who was only about moving up the social ladder. This book has really think about the freedom I have in todays world. In all I think this book was really well written and kept me engaged the whole time.

This is amazing! Hahaha... I tried a few of these on my 5-year-old brother and they're great. The great thing is that some of them are based on fact. -For example, 1 in 10 fish are afraid of water. -2 in 40,000 cars that leave the car factory are "Siamese cars"; if they share an axle, they can never be separated. -If you try a vegetable, you might like it. The art is hilarious, too.
