She is noted to have beautiful green eyes "Brodick stared into her brilliant green eyes and knew with a certainty that shook him to the core that his life had been irrevocably changed." Brodick is the laird of Buchanans. "He was a towering figure with long, flaxen hair and deeply tanned skin." Brodick is a returning character from The Secret. This is noted to be Julie Garwood's best work, and it lived up to its reputation and my expectations. The second character are amazing!! This book made me laugh and swoon :) God Bless the Scottish :) :)

Another great book written by Rick Riordan. Some criticize his writing, but you must admit he keeps you turning the pages with his action and you can't help but love the characters. I think you must remember that this are books written for children. I love all the Egyptian lore that is stuffed into these pages. I think you learn a lot when you read his books, whether it be about Egyptian or Greek mythology. The Kane siblings must save the world again in this sequel to the Red Pyramid. This time they must find Ra, the Sun God, and restore him in order to stop the evil plans of Apophis, the God of Chaos. A fun adventure tale that will keep you or your child turning the pages.

I love Dana Stabenow's writing, but most especially her Kate Shugak novels. She writes incredibly quirky characters - even the smallest bit parts are memorable. She describes Alaska so vividly and with great love - her stories could not be picked up and placed anywhere else. But it's Kate Shugak most of all that keeps me reading. Possibly the only Native Alaskan female PI in all of the fiction world, she's tough as nails and stubborn as an ox - once she's on a case, she will not be deterred. A Taint in the Blood was set mainly in Anchorage, unlike the other books in the series, which was an interesting change of pace. As usual, I was engrossed from start to finish.
