I bet I have read this book six or seven times. Bryson is one of a handful of writers who can actually make me laugh. I mean, not just a "silent inward chuckle which doesn't necessary distract passersby"--a real laugh. I love his travel writing especially and this is my favorite. I highly recommend it, whether you ever plan to visit Australia or not.

This seems to be the last book in the Princess series and I thought it ended nicely. A little corny, but I like that kind of thing. Mia graduates high school and learns something about love.

I was really not expecting like this book so much, but I found myself having trouble putting it down. I'd set out to read a chapter, then look up 2 hours later - clearly, I like Rothfuss's style! This is sort of like reading someone's really well-written, detailed history of their D&D character, except that the way magic works is quite different, well thought out, and compelling.

All in all, it's just anoher season in Egypt for the Emersons, which is always a delight for readers!
