I really loved this book. It was a great book club selection because there was so much to discuss. Honestly, I was surprised about how so many people felt so many different things about Hadley. It made me much more interested in reading more Hemingway.

Enjoyable, but not as much as the first in the series.
mugwumps and interzone- what else can be said? unlike irvine welsh, william burroughs does not make heroin use seem appealing in the least- he just portrays the freakish nightmare of being a slave to a dehumanizing addiction.
If you love 1930s era New York, you will die for this book. I love love love this book. My new favorite. It is glamorous and brimming with understated sophistication. The characters come to life with completely believable tone. The story focuses on the love triangle of Katey, Eve and Tinker, and it is heartbreaking as much as it is hopeful. I pray this author continues to explore this period in American history. I will read everything he writes.

This book is very funny and i think even adults will like it
maybe it's that i was listening to this on CD on the way to a meeting instead of reading it because i found Tolle voice so mono-tone that it was like being read a book by a computer. it started off pretty interesting but i had enough by about halfway through and couldn't bring myself to listen to anymore of it.
