Slooow... and too much theology for my taste.

This was an excellent "conclusion" to the Atticus Kodiak series, if that's what it indeed turns out to be. The story and conclusion play out in a much cleaner fashion than Patriot Acts. Though I've never loved the direction Kodiak took from Critical Space on, it's a great story told by a very accmoplished writer.

Sexism and vampyrism in one book! The females of this vampyre race are allowed to be fierce but subjugate, strong but in need of protection. The heroine is found to be a perfect mate to her kink because she can kick arse. Ooook. The king of all vampyres is blind(ish) and depicted somewhat realistic to what blind folk would do today. I doubt a blind vampire king would really let his butler cut his own meat for him - hardly independent living skills-worthy. The sexx0r is good though at times strangely laughable (peaches, anyone?). While Vampyre lore is inverted a bit (where's my human on vampire sucking?!) it's not so tragic as to remind me of Twilight. A worthy read if you like sexism and odd language from grown men.

I'll admit that I picked this up purely because it was about cupcakes (yes, I'm that shallow) and I was really pleased I did. I liked Issy, and I really found myself rooting for her, especially given her ex being a complete douche and all she went through. Caroline and Pearl were hillarious, and I found myself looking forward to getting a chance to read the next chapter on my commute. Definately one of Colgan's best.

very cute, but reading proust is better. duh.
this book makes perfect sense and you don't even feel like you'd be depriving yoursel if you only stuck with superfoods.
This book changed my life and how I viewed government, especially government regulation.

Non-gory horror genre entry. How far can/would you transform yourself for retribution/revenge? How far from religion/God would you travel?

So far this book is amazing...... It really talks about the harsh reality of what being popualr can do to you internally. During this book, Massie Block thinks popular is so important in the area. She thinks that knowing all the famous people can get you through the world. However, what she doesnt know is that popular isnt the only thing that she needs to worry about.
