I was so excited when I found Beloved of the Fallen because it was the first book about angel that I read. I have a big expectation for this book and it did not fail me. At first I thought it would be full of romance. But I was wrong. It was not that shallow. Although the prologue was boring, its 28 chapters hooked me. It was a fast paced novel. The mystery inside kept my nose buried in it. I loved the idea that the author brought. She mixed little fantasy and some political issues. The last part was my favorite. It was written very well. Even if the angel or demon were not there, I think it still would be interesting to read. Kira, the main character, was a beautiful, smart and strong young woman. It was not difficult to like her. The author wrote about her in sequence. So I could keep the track of her life. From her childhood, high school till she was involved in politic. I liked the chapter which told me about her relation with his father. And talk about Valentin Ashford, the fallen angel, I really want to like him. Unfortunately till the end of the book, I just could not connect to him. There was a big hope for more awesome things that he could have shown. This book is supposed to be about fallen angel.But he did not play his role If you are into political novel, you might want to read this book. Cover I wish I could see the other edition. I liked the White House background but I'd love to see Kira in front not Valentin.

I struggled through this book as a teenager and maybe I'll revisit it one day to see if I can appreciate it more as an adult. That being said it did have a lasting impact on me and that's why it gets 4 stars and not 3.

Jackson and Milla- what a great couple. Not sure how you can lose weight when involved in a wedding. LOVE cake, actually I love food in general. Another great story.

I read this a good few years ago as it's the basis for my favourite film Somewhere In Time. It's a little darker and less schmaltzy than the film; but more realistic (if a time-travelling fantasy can be such a thing). I have just remembered it is here at the house I am currently staying at, so I'm going now re-reading it for a Spring Challenge sci-fi/fantasy book. Later I remembered the OTHER books on my list; so read several interviews with Matheson and watched a youTube series of them - the wonders of the internet! Hence this endeavour earned 15 points in the challenge...

One of the better entries in the series even though it did not feature any characters we already knew (an no, that's NOT the reason I liked it). Without losing his talent for detail, Goodkind trimmed the book to a considerably more streamlined story.

This book has a lot of sound advice, but it is a little too long for its own good. It tries to maintain a lighthearted tone, but all of the tangents and asides just get tiresome after a while. I was also frustrated by the amount of time he spent on topics that I already knew about. Maybe this book would be better suited for the beginner. As someone who's already dedicated a lot of time to writing, I was bored a few times.

The Innovator’s Dilemma Thư viện Sách hướng dẫn

A meaningful read when I was 19; I don't remember too much now, other than the gorilla and the Old Testament stuff. Not eager for a reread, though, nor interested in the sequel. Still, a good eye-opening/mind-opening read for something raised Catholic.
