Well, I do send my kids to school, but at least the teachers in their program try to emphasize exploration rather than right answers. One of the complaints I remember most from this book was that schools mostly teach you to hide mistakes.

I have read all of her books. I enjoy food writing.

VERY INTERESTING AND KEPT ME ON THE EDGE OF MY SEAT. COULD FEEL THE PAIN OF THE CHARACTERS BECAUSE THE WRITER IS SO DESCRIPTIVE

Hats off to Lisa Diamond for this book. Even though there's a bit of sampling bias and limitation in her longitudinal study (which could easily be remedied by better grants and more research assistants; no doubt after this book she'll be in a better position to get that), the findings she uncovers are doubtless invaluable to the field of sex research, and will hopefully be taken seriously by the scientific community and laypersons alike. For common readers, the book is very accessible, easy to read, and Diamond is at once an unbiased yet warm narrator, which keeps her more dry explanations from becoming close to boring. A great read for both academics and casual readers alike--I've taken sexuality classes, but read this for pleasure and enjoyed it immensely.

I am not usually a fan of this genre- but I truly enjoyed this book. The story intrigued me, and I thought it was very well written. In addition, the character development and the thought process that went into character detail really was excellent. Highly suggest giving it a chance even if you aren't into Hobgoblins and such.

Sigh. I really hope there are more books set in the world of Terr D'Ange in the future, because I love them. This was a fantasitic romantic romp through a magical world, and I loved the story, the pacing and the final wrap up. I may have to go back and re-read book one just so that I don't have to come back to the real world.

Was written 35 years ago, so most of the technical details are archaic and cryptic, but overall, thought it was an interesting read and the myth of the man-month is definitely still worth watching out for.

Just read it again for the 2nd time... always have to read the end first, otherwise I can't get through the suspense. Like all of her other books, really tragic story, but uplifting and kinda hopeful at the same time. Really good!!

I love the pictures in this book. It's so fascinating to me to see how a baby grows and develops in the uterus and the photos are incredible. Some of the writing wasn't that good & I noticed several typos, but beyond that, the book is great!
