This book was ok, not great. I've really enjoyed Robin Hobb from everything I've read so far, and this seemed to be the set-up book in a trilogy, so while not quite as entertaining as the first book, I'm looking forward to the third to wrap it all up.

This was on of my worst nightmares during highschool and it remained one of my most hated books (not necessary because of how it is written, but mostly because of what the story is about). I think the events and people in the story are quite vulgar.

If you have like three months to waste, it's an interesting book to read but it can be tough to comprehend. Also make sure you have two bookmarks- one for the book and one for the endnotes (there are about 150 pgs of these and some of them have footnotes). It's an interesting look at substance abuse- about half of the book focuses on members of a halfway house. The other half focuses on students at a tennis academy up the hill from the halfway house, although there's no significant interaction between the two groups that I can recall. David Foster Wallace is very wordy- this book is about 1400 pgs- and while I wanted to enjoy it, it was kind of tough to plow through. It was more a narrative of the lives of the characters than any kind of plot driven story. Then again, if you're a fan of DFW's work, you might be used to that. Anyway, don't let the length scare you off, because it was interesting if you can get past the "lacking a real plot" thing. Also, if you decide to read it, I would get the compendium which helps explain some of the stuff going on.

It was GREAT!!! I loved it, and I can't wait to read the second!! Peeta being in love was so... so awwwww, I really really loved the book. Yet I knew he wasn't acting and I can't believe Katniss was so dense. Love triangle, aaaaah. Gale is perfect for her yet Peeta totally cares for her. I personally like Peeta better. I think the Hunger Games in the story should be eliminated cause, what the heck?? And why yearly? Why not every 2 years or something. I think it's dumb. Also the rule of not being able to travel to different districts, come on. Everyone wants to travel! I wish the Capitol wasn't so restrictive. Especially about wanting to harm/kill Katniss is dumb she won fair and square. I think all that I wrote, though I don't like it, was what gave the spice to the story and (though I'm contradicting) kinda loved it was like that. It just made the book better and better, and better for the sequel. I just kept waiting until Monday came because my teacher is the one who's lending them to me. Well this is my opinion, (a great book, a total should read) please give me yours. Peace <3

3.5 stars Looking at some of the other reviews that have been posted, it seems like Die For Me is either a love-it or hate-it kind of book. I guess I fall somewhere in the middle of that. While I didn't find the romance to be particularly inspiring, I did think that Plum's take on zombies was interesting. (view spoiler) I also liked that the book was set in Paris, but that Plum didn't insist on using French in every other sentence. If I wanted to read a book in French, I would buy a book that was written in that language. I've noticed this happens quite a bit with books that are set in New Orleans for some reason. I especially love it when the author puts a modified French/English dictionary in the back of the book. That way you can take the time to flip to the back to figure out what the @$*k the person just said...only to find out that it was nothing important! Sorry. I'm done ranting now. Ok. So if you love books set in Paris, YA romance, and zombieish creatures that resemble guardian angels...you might want to check this one out.

This book is a very helpful guide to your dinner, every night you read a chapter. :) this book is encouraging and funny at the same time. Every chapter you read brings you a new recipe to share with others. Not only is it a children book but also and adult book to make all of your sweet tooth's want to be used and make your fingers want to flip through the pages and make all the recipes. (They are all(but one) Pretty great!)
