Unfortunately, the whole "streaming-thought" style of writing is not exactly my cup of tea. I found it hard to get through, but since I can't not finish a book, I trekked on. Towards the end, I did got used to the style and ended up appreciating it for its uniqueness...however, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Excellent! This is my second Michael Connelly book but my first Harry Bosch novel. I will definitely be reading more in this series. It was a page turner - crisp, at times funny, and kept you guessing till the end. He is a must for anyone who enjoys a good detective story.

Molly Ivins is a great story teller and a great writer. She had a keen eye for the truth and absurdity in daily living and in politics. I only wish more people had listened to her insights on W.

Favorite Quotes She will look at you as women look at men, and she will judge you as a woman judge men...not on the strength of their arguments, and not in their cleverness or prowess in battle, but rather on the force of their character, the intensity of their passion, their strength of soul, their compassion, and...ah, this above all...their conversation. We were all fated to die, and so it is good that at least we can be sure our deaths today might bring about a good end, might make the world a better place.

I have thoroughly enjoyed every Preston and Child novel since I discovered them a couple of years ago. I anxiously awaited the release of Cemetery Dance and Preston and Child delivered. I was sad to see one of my favorite characters get killed off but the novel was excellent. I love Agent Pendergast and his mysterious background, family and secretive ways. I felt Cemetery Dance was much better then Wheel of Darkness. This book made me want to go back and reread several of the Preston/Child novels where they introduced Nora Kelly and William Smithback.

I just really like this series. Ophelia is finally getting used to her talents and is happy using them. I loved the dream part of this book, where she relives a past life. Also she gets to know what happened to everyone involved with the dream. I can't wait until the new one comes out.

A thoroughly demented, perverse, bizarre, shocking and outlandish little horror novel. Definitely one of the best books I've read by Laymon, whose work runs the gamut from excellent (One Rainy Night) to unreadable (Come Out Tonight).

Fantastic. A man is found wandering the desert and he doesn't know who he is or how he got there. Turns out he has a brain tumor (or something) and, as a result, amnesia. He returns to his life and reevalutes it, trying to decide if he was happy and if he wanted to keep things the same or take the opportunity to change everything.
