i do like her mystery style, but sometimes it is hard to follow where she is going with this story. There are at times too many characters and TOO Many twists and turns to be believable/follow-able.

Book #13 of 2009 Fun read. I thought I'd figured out the ending, but I hadn't, which was kind of nice. I don't have much to say other than it was fun to read this and not have to think too much about what I was reading. Borrowed from the library.

Not my favorite Winterson book. Still has her quirky style, but the plot is too predictable.

I have heard many good things about this book so checked it out from the library on my latest trip. It was interesting but I felt that there was something a bit off in the writing (possibly the multiple POVs which didn't fit with the circumstances of the plot?). It was a very sympathetic look at terrorists, making them people with their own lives and personalities. I wish that the ending wasn't so rushed though.

A fast-paced romance featuring Anna, an American from Georgia, who is forced by her parents to spend her senior year at a boarding school in Paris, France. Anna meets St. Clair, an American with an irresistible British accent. Perkins kept this reader on the edge of her seat with the sparks that flew between Anna and St. Clair. A must-read for any fan of John Green or Maureen Johnson.

This book sent me through a range of emotions. I felt anger, sympathy, happiness, humor, and sadness. The life that the author, Jeanette Walls, indured as a child is hard to understand considering her parents had all the means of making a decent life for their children. It made me angry to know of all conditions they forced their children in to. Though, there are some funny and happy moments that do make this book quite enjoyable. Walls did a remarkable job of recounting her childhood and sharing it with her readers. Great read!
