This was a very difficult read for everyone in my reading group! It showed some very insightful characteristics about Evita and how she became so beloved in Argentina. She gained the love of a nation because she became part of the people, while also showing them the luxuries of life. This is not the most dynamic biography and more challenging to tredge through in the beginning. It is a very inbiased view, which is probably what makes it a more difficult read.

I didn't actually know what category to put this under but oh well. I got this because I was thinking for awhile that I might become a nurse. It wasn't as informative as I'd hoped, but it did confront the emotional aspects of dealing with sick people. It didn't push me one way or the other in my quest for jobhood though.

A good story, but I found the New Zealand conversational style strange and abrupt at times. There could have been a bit more character development and the climax was a little of a let down. The story just didn't get my heart pumping, but I'll tell you this: If there is a sequel, I'll probably read it.

If you want to know more READ THE BOOKS!! The first is City of Bones, the second is City of Ashes.
