This book has a lot of potential, but unfortunately, it's hard to keep focused because there are so many names, places, time periods covered all at once. There are some great stories and I learned quite a bit, but I would have organized the book in a completely different way to make it more reader friendly. The way it is now, this is a grazing book instead of a sit-down-and-read book.

This book is so intriguing! It was written by a woman who has autism and about her struggles in finding her self and her way. She is such a fascinating character. Even if you are not particularly interested in autism, like I am, it is still a really interesting look into human nature and science.
This is a cute book of different quotes. One of my favorites is by Hellen Keller and included in this book: "When one door of happiness closes, another opens, but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us.

Such a fun premise - 17 year olds in this totalitarian society are "matched" with their spouse, typically someone they have never met before. Cassia, the protagonist in this YA novel, is matched with her best friend, Xander. Only there's a problem, the microcard that is supposed to tell her all about her match doesn't show Xander, but another boy's handsome face... This story starts off with a twist and continues to deliver. One thing that I really appreciated about this book was, unlike a lot of popular YA books (especially those with love triangles), Cassia was very likeable as a protagonist. She is strong, intelligent, and a critical thinker. Early on in the novel she begins to question her life, love, authority, and the government. I was easily able to get inside of her head and understand and respect her decision making, even if she was a little whiny at times (she's a teenager, after all). A lot of people have been criticizing Condie's book as a rip off of "The Hunger Games" or "The Giver." Although this book runs in the same genre, I still found it to be unique and enjoyable.

the autobiography of the shah of Iran. A man tragically out of touch with reality, given over to conspiracy theories and a sanitized summary of his own actions. One need merely read this book to understand the inevitability and unquestionable justice of the 1979 revolution, though what we are left with now in Iran must be viewed as a separate narrative.

An interesting and accessible overview of Wittgenstein's life and works. This series is good if you are starting to study philosophy or if you just wish to know more about philosophy.

This book is probably only getting publicity due to the overwhelming response to Stieg Larsson's Millennium Trilogy. To call it a "psychological thriller" is seriously reaching. There are few moves that aren't telegraphed. The last 80 pages, I just wanted it to end. I was bored. So bored that further review seems pointless.

There's a reason why classics are deemed classics. Thoroughly enjoyed reading this as this was the first book I read on my kindle.

This was good. I had really, really high hopes based on the jacket, but it wasn't as good as I was hoping. I did enjoy the story, but saw where it was going early on and the characters didn't capture me as much as I'd hoped they would. Still a good read, but not amazing like I hoped it would be.
