Fun quick read. Will give my book to my grandchildren. They will love it. This is a nice prequel to Peter Pan. Must read the original some day.

Great thriller! The plot grabs you from the beginning and does not let go. Thought I had it figured out but I figured wrong. Fun to read.

I enjoy Stephen King more when his work is not the traditional horror, and this book emphasizes the point.

The ultimate revenge tale.
The book is a bit slow in the beginning and a lot of my friends have put it down too soon. I got past that point and it just grabbed me and I read it every spare second I had until I finished the book. I had the illustrated version, so that made it especially nice to be able to reference what was I was reading to the photographs. I know the book caused a lot of controversy with different religious group, but it is a great work of fiction with some basis in fact. A definite page turner.

A little dry at times but very interesting. Who could have guessed at the amount of international intrigue involved?

This book was fantastic! Floating back and forth between the story of the people and the ship (SS Central America) and the story of the engineer and crew working to recover it was exciting and riveting. I'm not an engineer, but Kindler did a wonderful job explaining the science of the technology and theories behind the work of the recovery ship and crew. A must read for anyone who is interested in history, boats, adventure, and innovation.
This book is amazingly sympathetic to the dead and funny at the same time. I learned a lot of science, medicine and tidbits of safety studies in it. It is very descriptive and not for weak stomaches.

This book was awesome. I only wish that i had read it sooner. It was especially relevant and interesting to think about it with our current administration ...

This is the single children's novel of one of my favorite authors growing up. Out of print and unfindable, I figured I'd never read it. Shocked when a friend had it sitting on her shelf. It's a great story about the 7th princess in a family of beautiful, perfect princesses. At the celebration of her birth, fairies are invited to give gifts. The oldest (and probably wisest) fairy gives the princess the gift of being ordinary. Amythest (Amy--a perfectly ordinary name) isn't like her perfect sisters. Though loved by her parents, they despair over whether they'll ever get her married off. Amy enjoys her ordinary status since it allows her to sneak off and play in the forest like a commoner and generally enjoy her life. This is a great book for pre-teen girls. It's not difficult to read and the message is one that tells girls it's okay to be themselves.
