I almost gave this book a 5...it was that good. I really loved how there was no hope and I mean NONE! But they got to a place where I had hope. Great writing. I really really found myself wanting to return to it and find out what would happen.

I, like many Kurt Vonnegut fans, have love for practically everything he's created. This book happens to focus on what I find some of the most fascinating and troubling aspects of humanity.

I enjoyed this second installment of the King Raven trilogy. Lawhead does a great job laying out his characters and they stay true to themselves all the way through, the story keeps the reader engaged and entertained. I look forward to reading more of his books, but only after I've read "Tuck" the last in this trilogy.

Ok there was some things I liked more then book 1 and some things I liked less. I continue to adore the group dynamics between all 8 men - especially the 7 demons. I think the author improved the fight scenes and made the prophecy more interesting. however I found echo a bit obnoxious at the beginning - but I liked him alot more in the second half of the book when he was a stronger character The thing that annoyed the SHIT out of me was the party - it was not even needed for the plot and was SOOO unrealistic (if you only have a few friends why invite someone (view spoiler) I basically REALLY enjoy this series because its fun to read. However I do get annoyed with the author for putting useless or totally silly scenes/ideas into the plot. So I kept with the 4 stars because even though I have my irks about this book I LOVE the 8 guys :)

Ho Ho! Stealing cheese from mouse traps? Knights in castles? That may sound strange but it's a good book! But before I can tell you that story, I have to tell you this story. But I can't tell you THAT story...I forgot how the book goes. Don't read the real book because that's not the story. Read the junior novelization of the Tale of Despereaux.

Though I grew up playing the American version of Monopoly, Do Not Pass Go was still very entertaining. And I think I'd take the trip around London over Atlantic City pretty much any day of the week.
Title: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban Author: J.K. Rowling Series: Harry Potter #3 Rating: ★★★★★ Summary: J. K. Rowling continues to bewitch readers everywhere with the third book in her magical Potter series, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. Harry’s ongoing exploits, along with those of his contemporaries, teachers, and relatives, are as imaginative, entertaining, and mysterious as ever. For during Harry’s third year at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, he must face his greatest challenge yet: a confrontation with Sirius Black, an escaped convict and madman who is rumored to be in cahoots with Harry’s archenemy, the Dark Wizard Lord Voldemort. This alone would be daunting enough, but Harry’s task is made even more trying when he discovers that Sirius is suspected of being the one who killed Harry’s parents. For Harry, the Hogwarts campus has always been a sanctuary, but when Black escapes from the horrifying clutches of Azkaban Prison, all clues suggest the madman is headed for Hogwarts and Harry himself. As a result, the school starts to feel more like a prison than a sanctuary as Harry finds himself constantly watched and under guard. What’s more, the terrifying Dementors - the horrifying creatures who guard Azkaban Prison - are lurking about the campus looking for Black. And their effect on Harry is a devastating one. Still, life at school offers plenty of distractions. Harry really likes the new teacher for Defense Against the Dark Arts, Professor Lupin, who might be able to teach Harry how to defend himself against the Dementors. But Professor Snape’s behavior toward Lupin has Harry wondering what secrets the two men are hiding. Harry’s friend Hermione is also acting very strangely. And, of course, there is the tension caused by the ongoing Quidditch competition between the Gryffindors and the Slytherins and the never-ending bullying of the Slytherin leader, Draco Malfoy. One of Rowling’s greatest strengths is her ability to stack mystery upon mystery in a way that keeps the pages turning without frustrating the reader. Her clues are always fair and bountiful, but it’s easy to lose track of them in the midst of all the high suspense, spell-casting action, and unexpected plot twists. That’s okay, because Rowling ties it all neatly together at the end in a way that will leave readers snapping their fingers and muttering, “Oh yeah. Forgot about that one. How clever!” Review: Wow. J.K. Rowling has astonished me again… Things I Loved: Oh my God, those Weasley twins! I just can’t get enough of those two. And then there’s Harry and Hermoine and Ron. And incoming! Sirius Black! Oh, and Snape gets knocked out! :) These are the little things that make me smile when I read the book. Things I Hated: N/A to Harry Potter!
