I was kinda sappy about this book. I grinned often reading the bantering between the h and h. And I was emotionally captivated. So yeah i like it.

I purchased this book because of the rave reviews and just can't get into it, I've picked it up several times but I find it odd to read.

This book was a lot of fun to read...it was full of fluff just like I like it.

This was the hardest of Austen's novels for me to get through because I simply didn't like the main character. It took me a long time and a lot of help before I realized that although she is spoiled (I prefer underdogs) she really does mean well. And that the story is really about her being "clueless" about what's going on all around her. I know not everyone re-reads the Jane Austen Six on a yearly basis so let me tell you, once you know what's actually happening and you re-read the book her naivete becomes the biggest joke in it. And, this being Austen, it's already a pretty funny book in the first place.

I have to say, this follow up to Wicked (published a solid decade later!) is even better than its prequel! A great story, which, like Wicked raises important questions - not least of which is "What is family?" Brilliant.
A quick read.

I found I enjoyed the language in this book more than I expected, which was a nice suprise. Hook and his crew were a bit more gruesome than I expected, but it was OK. And the plot clicks right along so she and I got all caught up in the read, which is fun. We watched "Finding Neverland" along the way, too, and talked about the author and how the book fit into the story. My one complaint are the asides from the author to the reader. I find that distracting. It pulls me out of enjoying the story and reminds me I'm not there in with Peter and Wendy, and the lost boys. Darn.
This was a departure from my usual reads, as you can tell from the jacket description: "a tour de force of metaphysical reality". I found myself drawn into the unfolding storylines about the young man and the older man, but I did not care for the explicit sex scenes that appeared occasionally. I think I would like to read another book by this author--he is certainly a creative storyteller.
