It's hard to rate this book because it's been years since I read the first four. It was an enjoyable book, and the storyline about Hannah (Rob's sister) was handled quite well for a teenage novel. But, so much of this book was about Jess getting together with Rob, and okay, that's probably what Cabot's teenage fans wanted to read about - but I loved these books as a teen as they were about more than just romance, and I felt that that was kind of missing from this book as there was little about Jess's "powers." I definitely did enjoy it, though - no denial there - but that was all. I wouldn't say that this book is special or a must-read. There are better teen books out there, and I have to admit - I think Jess's story was finished alright in the fourth book. 6/10

Martin Harris "Dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb, dumb," Lucy Harris, "Smart, smart, smart, smart, smart." Heehee. I love you, South Park. This book scared the living crap out of me. As Americans we're terrified (and rightly so, if you ask me) Middle Eastern culture, where extremism causes sexually frustrated men to take multiple wives while using religion as their validation for violence. Scary as hell. Yet it happens in our own backyards in the form of Fundamental Mormonism, and it's treated as a small inconvenience. The stories former FLDS members who describe incest, kidnapping, rape, and molestation in the FDLS church have stayed with me for over 5 years since reading this book. Then, my ears perked up when the FLDS church in Texas was raided last April, and 400+ children removed due to sexual abuse allegations. Two months later, the kids are given back. Heh. Texas justice? I think not. Someone should send the Texas judges this gripping/frightening read that just happens to be a true story ... maybe they'd think twice before handing children back to extremists. For the rest of us, mega-informative.

The House of Night series continues in Hunted. The reader finds Zoey and her friends hiding out underground in the tunnels at the beginning of the book, with the red fledgling vampires. Neferet has allowed Kalona and his accomplices take over the House of Night, so Zoey and her friends know they won't be able to return without taking out the evil that is now within its walls. Zoey must make some important decisions in the book - the best way to take out Kalona, what direction her relationship with Erik is going, and who she is even able to trust any more. A surprise visit from ex-boyfriend Heath throws a wrench into her plans in more ways that one... There was a lot more suspense in this book than in the other House of Night novels; however, there seem to be many details that were left unexplained. One would presume this would mean there will be additional books in the series.

I absolutley loved this book. Out of all the Twilight series, this book is the best. I love how Bella has to go through a search to find out who this beautiful mysterious stranger is. And ends up falling in love. This is such a good book and would read it over and over again!!!
