تعرفت على أحمد مطر من خلال قصيدته تأبط شعراً وأعتقدت لفترة طويلة انه فلسطيني لا أدري لمادا؟ ربما ظناً مني ان كل شاعراً منكوب هو شاعراً فلسطيني ثم تبين انه عراقي ... فأعتقدت لفترة ان كل شاعراًمنكوب قد يكون فلسطيني أو عراقي ... ولكن الحقيقة ان كل مواطن منكوب ...يبدو انه عربي ...المهم وقعت في غرام تأبط شعراًولم أقرأ له غيرها لفترة طويلة حتى عترث على أعماله الكاملة في كشك لبيع الكتب على أحد أرصفة محطة الرمل بالاسكندريةعندما كنت هناك مند بضعة أشهر خلت ... قصائده قوية وقلمه نابض بالألم ... ولعله عبَر عن دلك أصدق تعبير في قصيدته ...قلم ....

humm. I was dissappointed with this book, I skipped pages just to get through it. I was expecting more and thought it went on and on. I guess I was just done with this series.

Title of Book: The Hunger Games Author: Suzan collins Number of pages:363 Main Characters: Katniss: tall with long hair braided down her back Peeta: Is a bakers son we went to school with Katniss. Gale: He is best friends with Katniss tall and very handsome. Haymitch: He was the winner of the 50th hunger games he is always drunk and is a mentor for district 12 At first i thought that the hunger games wasn't that good of a book.Because of the thought of children killing other people wasn't a very nice to be reading it. But after my friends started telling me to read it i finally did!I started reading it and it started to get very exciting! It was very hard to stop reading once the games begun. The setting of The Hunger Games is in district 12,the woods behind district 12, and the arena where the games are. A summary of The Hunger Games is they have these games that are called "Hunger Games" each year. Its like you go into this arena and try to kill all the people from each district there are 12 district's and 2 people are chosen randomly from each district. And only 1 wins from 24 children and if they do win there district gets a year supply of food. The main problem of this book is killing other children and if you don't win you die and son't get the food your district needs. The things I loved about this book is the way she wrote it the action and how she some how combined lots of romantic stuff in a book of action and killing. A quote that i liked is "Katniss? Peeta says,I meet his eyes, knowing my face might be some shade of green. He mouths the words, How about that kiss?" I loved this part of the book because is was so funny and so cute. There was nothing i hated about the book just when Peeta and Katniss fight another quote that i didn't like was " so what your saying is, these last few days and then i guess... back in the arena ... that was all a strategy you two worked out!" The theme of this book is Hunger Games that pretty much tell you a lot or an idea of what going to happen. There is a lot of uniqueness in The Hunger games because most books aren't about killing other people and they don't have districts like in this one so that is why I think this book is very unique. Would I recommend this book to anyone? Yes i would it's a very great book I really think that you should read this book.

I read this after "Stardust" and it was much darker and a bit of a heavier read. Took a bit to get into, but still very intriguing. The whole concept of the Below world was crazy and I loved it. The BBC miniseries wasn't nearly as good as it could've been though, I thought. Of course, reading you always visualize things differently.

I wanted to love this book, but I didn't. I found it to be very heavy but not so much a tear-jerker. I thought the middle of the book (about the custody battle) dragged on. I just wanted the book to be over. I enjoyed the ending which is why I am giving the book 4 stars.
