The essay provided with the story really enhanced my understanding of the story. It was a great version. The turmoils that happen in the story are timeless. I can envision the themes in current literature. Life, death, power, envy are all themes that we deal with now. I would read this again and also suggest it for a book club discussion.

Wow, wow, wow, wow! Why the heck did it take me so long to read this amazing book?!? I'm not sure I can even put into words how I feel about it it was that good! What started out as a ok about a supposed hate crime became so much more. It became a story about friendship and relationships and growing up. It was about moving on and recovering what you once head by gaining yourself back. Cat was a truly likable characters in every aspect of the word. She had her faults, but they were what made her what she was and that was fiercely loyal. She had turned her back on everyone that mattered to her after an incident years prior, but when the chips were down she did what she had to to make sure everyone, including herself, would come out the other side whole. Ms. Myracle has crafted a truly unbelievably tale that I'm so happy I got to enjoy and hope others will too! Brava!

For children's books, I love the Howl's Moving Castle series. Great fantasy, lots of action, and an altogether great read. Definitely worth keeping for my daughter to read when she gets older. This second book in the series kept me surprised until the very end.

This is truly the essentials of Italian cooking. Not only do you learn how to butterfly and chicken breast, stuff a squid and de-bone a leg of lamb, but her recipes are also basic, flavorful and the majority of them are easy to make with everyday ingredients you have in your pantry. Her bottom line is building flavor. If you take nothing except one lesson from this book, take her advise about being a patient cook and taking the time to build a strong base flavor with good olive oil, garlic, onion, celery and carrots. If anyone wants to borrow this, i have it after my sister reccomended it to me. Thanks Rebecca.
