A great book for an easy understanding of American History and the principles and values of America's forefathers and their committment and understanding of these values for the making of the United States Constitution. A must read!

This has to be one of the best books I’ve ever read. The book was beautifully-written. I’m not a wide reader, but I just couldn’t put the book down. The story of Charlie was just flawless. The author presented the story very well. I mean, I personally liked the “Dear friend” or letter setup, whatever you call that. While I was reading, it felt like I know Charlie personally, and somehow, it made me feel like I was less alone because he had gone through things that us, teens, normally go through. This was very touching though there are parts when Charlie made me feel depressingly sad. I’d love to read the books that Bill recommended Charlie. And I even wrote down some quotations that I liked. UPDATE: I READ IT AGAIN AND IT JUST GOT BETTER. LOL (feb17-18,2015)

Annie Koh had brought this book to my book sale brunch. I also haven't finished reading Friedman's <1> Longitudes and Attitudes.

A rare reflection account of 1700's America and the author, who is a naturalist, artist and a trekker, is an amazing writer comparable to Emerson and Thoreau. Bartram gives broad descriptions of the physical landscape surrounding Southeastern states such as the Appalachian Mountains and the sweltering swamps of Florida. This 1791 text also gives a rare look at the rich customs of the Native Americans in a non-biased form.

All in all, I liked this book a lot. I haven't been to law school, so I can't vouch for how closely Turrow's account mirrors other "one L" experiences, but I think that some of those who dock the book on this point may want to consider that Turrow was writing in the 1970s and from Harvard Law School, which, the book makes clear, tries very hard to be extraodinary in all ways. It's safe to assume that the student experience at Harvard -- particularly those that predate the period of reform the author suggests was on the horizon -- differ greatly from those at less august institutions and in an era of more liberal/humane instruction.
Book 3 of the Outlander Series. Possibly my favorite.

Beautifully written conclusion to the Abhorson series. Sam and Lirael continue their journey to rescue Nick from the clutches of the evil necromancer, Hedge, and make a stand against The Destroyer.

Some fun puzzles, some action, but all very flat and predictable. My kids like it, though.

I read this because I had read its prequel a while ago, but I was kinda disappointed. I thought it was even a bit cliche. I wouldn't recommend it.

This is my absolute favorite Agatha Christie book.
