در گام نخست چيزي كه بيش از همه در آثار فرخ‌فال (لااقل آن چه من از ايشان خواندم) برجسته است لحن جاري در داستان است كه خواننده را به اين نتيجه مي‌رساند كه اين خود نويسنده است كه دارد حرف مي‌زند. يعني برخلاف اكثر آثار ادبي كه نويسنده سعي مي‌كند با خودش فاصله بگيرد، اتفاقن فرخ‌فال معمولن بي‌واسطه و مستقيمن خواننده را مخاطب عقايد و افكار خود قرار مي‌دهد. راوي فرخ‌فال اول شخص است. I finally read the book that gave us "big brother"; this is one of several that depict "negative utopias". I did see a couple of the plot twists coming, but some of them were complete surprises. The other two books that also depict "negative utopias" are "We" and "Brave New World", which I have and will read soon.

An enjoyable and educational read; recommended for lawbots and non-lawbots alike.
