Very fun intertaining book. The four sisters totally ensnare the men of their choosing before they even realize what has happened to them.

I liked the book, she vividly describes the intricacies of the seemingly simple lives of Bengali families residing in Western countries. The ending of each story always feels like another beginning, leaving some questions unanswered and moistens your eyes. She has woven stories around disasters like Tsunami of which we feel for from a distance, but here she gives us a peek into the impact which these tragedies have on human lives. As one of my friends rightly says" she writes stories like novels"..:)

Oke, ini novel lama. Terbit tahun 1960. Menang Pulitzer tahun 1961. So what? hehe (tararengkyu buat Tante Vita pinjemannyah). Saya saja kadang sampai bingung. Rasisme? Prasangka? Siapa bilang zaman sekarang sudah hilang? Bukankah bertambah pekat? Maka kisah bersetting Maycomb, Alabama di tahun 1930-an rasanya perlu selalu menjadi pengingat. Quotes: - "Dunia mau kiamat, Atticus! Lakukan sesuatu...!" 181)
Very interesting book about Frank Loyld Wright and a part of his life that is not widely known

A truly inspirational book for young women learning to accept their bodies, their sexuality....themselves in a male dominated society perpetuated by endless symbols of objectified women on every street corner.

This is the epic sort of book I always want to find and get lost in. It's several books in one... coming-of-age, romance, ghost story, mystery, etc. To really love this book, you also have to fall for Jane's character. And I did.

I enjoyed this book thoroughly. It had all the components of a mystery novel, but was not cheesy or predictable. With constant twists and through an odd series of events Chritie keeps the readers guessing. This novel includes a confusing and exciting plot matched with vivid and captivating language. It really was a joy to read.
