One of my students was reading the book. I'm a fan of Patterson, so I asked him if I could borrow it. The series was written clean so young adults can read it, but it's not written at a kids level. I really enjoyed it and borrowed the nest three from him. While I was reading the fourth book I ordered the series, including the newly released fifth book. My dad has them now! Great series!

A few times in my life, I have read exactly the right book at exactly the right moment. This summer was that moment for this book. A writer, who is around 50 years old, takes a year off from her normal life to rediscover herself and to find her new calling. Some of my favorite moments are when she swims with the seals, when she walks in the fog, and when she figures out how to finance urgently needed roof repairs. Joan Anderson asks, "Doesn't change occur only when we stop living the expected life?" As I begin my own year by a sea, I am hoping the answer to her question is "Yes!"

I like romance, biographies, and Einstein, and I am not feeling this book. I'm tempted to stop reading it, but I have to truly loathe a book before I put it down unfinished. It's not that this is terrible, it's just not particularly dynamic; The information is conveyed in a very rote fashion, and the author makes no attempt to create tension, even where the "plot" would allow for it. I'm hoping there's a better biography on Einstein out there - if you know of one, please recommend it.

you felt for the charatures who turn wolf an for the wolves too. its a detail book and is a good story line just needed a little bit more

Another one I missed reading as a teenager. Fun, quick, VERY entertaining -- loved it. I especially liked reading the introduction, where the author includes letters from young men in military training who say they were encouraged by Ender.
