My least favorite of the Dark Tower series so far. However, even a 3 for king is better than a 5 for some other authors!

Very enjoyable - some brilliant plot twists and turns! If you want to watch the television version, you must read the book first. The television version is interesting but not nearly as gripping as the novel.

I like this book because it has a clear underlying meaning which you can identify from the first page onwards. This book shows how a young black girl can aspire to be anything she wants if she works hard enough. Her grandma and mother show her that she shouldn't feel restricted or unworthy just because she is a young black girl. This book shows others that anything is possible. Everyone has a chance to do what they wish to do in life and this should not be restricted on grounds of colour or gender. The author presents to us a strong, imaginative child just like every other child.... this allows other children reading this story to feel worthy and positive about what they want to do at school or in their life. The book has lovely illustrations created by Caroline Binch. The author has used the character Grace in many stories over a range of books... for example 'Boundless Grace','Grace and Family', 'Grace at Christmas', 'Princess Grace' and lots more. This story was also made into a theatre production.

Victoria Jones has grown up in the foster care system in California. Now she is eighteen years old and must make it in the world on her own. She has trouble relating to other people but feels a deep connection to flowers and even uses them to help her communicate with people. She manages to get a job with a florist and soon earns a reputation for being able to help people with their problems by choosing the right flowers for them. Along the way she meets a young man at a local flower market who forces her to confront a painful secret from her past. I loved the characters of Victoria, Elibabeth and Grant,(although Grant was a bit too good to be true!) I found them to be believable, and my heart ached for them, especially for Victoria. I found myself loving her, crying for her, and rooting for her. Even though I didn't agree with all her decisions, I could see why she made them. I wanted her to find the love and acceptance she had been looking for her whole life. I also found the "language of flowers" a very interesting part of the story and will pay more attention to flowers and their meanings from now on. There were a few things in the second half that were a little too convenient to be believeable, but it didn't interfere with my enjoyment of the story.

Although dated a bit in some parts regarding paperwork and written communication (as we live in the age of email now), the book has still given me many important distinctions and timeless principles that I will be incorporating in my daily routine to make it even more productive.

I read a book I thought was called "Aztec" by Gary Jennings, but this was the closest I could fin to it. anyways I recommend "Aztec" it's the history of the Atztec's in a well spun story of man who lives through it all. It's the history ( I don't know how accurated the history is) without the textbook jargon that make me want to sleep.

good historical review of american Christianity and the assumptions about our faith we still hold as a result of the Great Awakenings.
