I found the end disappointing. The rest of it kept me entertained, although it was written in first person, which I find in general does make progress a little slower. It was an interesting snapshot of the time

This series is really good at capturing a reader's attention, it balances perfectly between funny and informative.
I was assigned this book in a class at South High called "College Reading" taught by Mrs. McPheron. I didn't read it, but did see the movie three times...it was Robert Redford in 1974, for cryin' out loud! I adored the movie, and still frequently mindlessly hum "What'll I Do" in the grocery aisle. Anyway, Mrs. M. gave me an "A" on the paper I wrote, with nary a red mark...but on the last page at the bottom: "Well written, Ann. Did you read it?" I loved that lady.

An interesting dual memoir by a mother and daughter, each giving her own point of view on common history. Both women came across as intelligent and likeble.

I enjoyed this book a lot. Creative storyline, interesting characters ~ even though the infuriated me sometimes by their choices. I thought it was very well written and definitely intrigued me to read the next one.

When I found out the meaning of all existence while reading this book, I nearly shat myself.

As always, very enjoyable and on topics that continue to provoke controversy today. Wonderful job representing two ends of a spectrum in an honest way that inspires compassion for both sides.

Roald Dahl's short stories for adults are as clever and imaginative as his children's books but with a much darker edge... funny and disturbing, one of my all-time favorites.

I liked the premise of Traveling Funeral. Rather than a two or three day funeral held in one place, the deceased, Annie Freeman, mapped out a journey for her closest friends to places that were dear to her. Annie's friends bonded and supported each other during their grieving process. The book is advertised as resembling Thelma and Louise, but my advice is to keep a large box of Kleenex nearby.
