This was surprisingly good, though at some points it felt like they were older, not just the 6-12 year old boys they were. Interesting comments on human nature (I guess it's the Freudian Id?) and allegory of society, without being over-the-top about it.

lebih banyak bercerita tentang anak-anak Blythe dan teman-teman mereka. Anne sendiri hanya berkata-kata dua kalimat dan lebih sering "berkunjung ke avonlea"

I'll admit that I picked this up purely because it was about cupcakes (yes, I'm that shallow) and I was really pleased I did. I liked Issy, and I really found myself rooting for her, especially given her ex being a complete douche and all she went through. Caroline and Pearl were hillarious, and I found myself looking forward to getting a chance to read the next chapter on my commute. Definately one of Colgan's best.

This so far is a great series, and I love it. But I'm getting sick of reviews calling it "Christian". So what if the main character is Christian and has deep values relating to his religion? If that's not the focus of the book (and it isn't) then the book is not a Christian book. I'm Jewish and these books are some of my favorite YA. So let me scan reviews in peace without feeling like it's a conversion convention.

This was one of those books that I just couldn't connect with. I didn't even finish it.

It's an ok book, it's not boring but it is not a page turner either.

So basically most of the book blogs I follow were reading this, and yeah, it's really entertaining. It seems too frothy to call 'a good book,' but it probably was. I really like Libba Bray's tone. I can't imagine her writing in another style, which is at least one reason I want to check out her Victorian trilogy. I actually liked her the most when reading the acknowledgements and she says to her husband "It's sweet that after so many years of close partnership, you still have the capacity to be surprised and frightened by the things I say, dear." So yeah, I'd recommend it if you want something light and really fun. And despite its general tone, it DOES have good things to say to teen girls *cough*unlikeTwilight*cough*. I wish it had been around when I was a teenager. Alas! At least it's around now.

This was an excellent book. Many people took the Italian adult ed class that was held in the evening at the school. They all interacted in this class and were tied together as they pursued one need or another. They all traveled to Italy in the end and were bonded forever.
