I am 'currently reading' the book, so i'm sure there is more to learn, but for the most part, the book is getting at: trust your gut, it is far more educated than you may realize. The subconscious is a highly intuitive mechanism that often times we wait until we have scientific proof to believe, well, the book suggests we believe that snap assessment - suggesting this tool can be used in relationships, the work place, etc. casual read, with reader's choice to think at any level about the contents of the book.

3-3.5 stars I totally forgot the ending of this one!
I really enjoyed the book from the beginning. It was fun to see how Darcy and Fitzwilliam joked with each other and the banter between them made me laugh right out loud. But then, Caroline Bingley reappears in this story and ends up tricking Darcy and getting him naked in bed... Holding the "member", if you will. So any Caroline in the story was disheartening. Lizzie and Darcy ahd their struggles because of this. Then the book flis to Fitzwilliam and him falling in love with an American of all people! But her circumstances are tricky and who comes to the rescue but Lady Catherine. All in all a good story. But it was a bit long and could have probably been broken into two.

Amazing! For such a short book, about 300 pages, there was so much packed into it! I could not help but being drawn into the book. Sarah Jio has done an absolutely wonderful job describing the scenery and surroundings. She makes you feel like you are a bystander even in the flashbacks. And best of all, she kept me guessing as to who was whom in the book. Anyway you look at it, this is a heart wrenching love story and I could not help but feel touched by it. It's hard to believe this is her debut novel. Brava Ms.Jio! Brava!

Odd book, strange, somewhat hard to follow...lots of dysfunctional people. Definitely not a "feel good" kind of book.

Fun lighthearted read. Very tongue in cheek.

A good read about a subject I was not overly familiar with. The author weaves a good story while sharing rich detail of recent history.

This book actually has that love at first sight context that most readers would love, not to love...but the storyline held so much promise I just HAVE to finish it...and found it so worth it! Storyline: Ariel never knew aliens existed until she finds herself kidnapped and taken from Earth. When the Anzon declare humans useless, she learns her fate-prize for the winner of a brutal fight between large, muscled alien men. Ral is a Zorn warrior. He has also been kidnapped by the Anzon, along with his crew. Forced into slavery, he's got one thing on his mind-freeing his people. That is, until he sees the small human woman he's willing to fight to win. He doesn't just want her body, he wants her heart forever. In the hands of a hot alien, Ariel is about to discover how pleasurable captivity can be. Yeah, with the reading trend best selling in paranormal, BDSM and futuristic stories, I had thought that the series would be like any futuristic books...new futuristic terms, new worlds, a little steampunk ambience and a whole lot of Alien meets human scenarios. What I had gotten from the story was the first contact of human to alien/alien to human. It isn't necessarily future since Earth is the same, only that Ariel got abducted and only then realized that aliens are real and they're out there and plentiful in space. Not only are these intergalactic races stronger, or had more advance technology...they also have great sexual appetites. Very hot! Between Ral meeting Ariel, winning her and taking her for his own, the hero actually got love-lust at first sight with the lady getting a little something-something too. The language between the two almost borders on sweet and hot since they'd talk about keeping each other, Ral Berr being the dominant character, also fending off other males' advances on the woman he had claimed. Talk about overprotective boyfriend...but this guy just reeks sweet possessiveness that's actually endearing!
A very thorough but depressing recounting of the Iran Hostage crisis.
