Told in alternating voice between a popular (white) girl and a Hispanic gang banger, this was an entertaining read -- a sort of redone West Side Story. The voices, esp the guy's, were very authentic, I thought. But there was a too much sex, in my opinion, and guy sex talk and way too much gratuitous profanity. The book would've been stronger without most of it.

Great page turner, just what I wanted to escape into for a fun easy read. I would read yourself before letting teens read it due adult situations.

Good enough read, rather long and drawn out however. I found myself losing interest at various points, but the author did manage to reel me back in. Cray of course was an interesting pyscopathic, but annoyingly over the top. Of course in the end, his own arrogance was his undoing. Kaylie, I liked but she started off pretty weak, and of course througout the course of the book had more than a few "dumb" moments. Detective Shepherd was pretty cool, typical of most cops in that they don't believe anything without so called hard proof. Overall it was a good read, I give it 3.5 stars and would still recommend it. Just be prepared for a long read.

This one was the best in the series so far. It was funny, full of action and left me exploding at the end. I finished the book and wanted to keep reading, I couldn't believe that the last page was the last page.
