Trash. The only part of this worth reading is the bit when they climb and run down the mountain.

Unconditional love is necessary to sustain a healthy relationship, but so is unconditional respect. I've always thought that love was unconditional, but respect must be earned. But in marriage, this is not so. Both love and respect should be unconditional in a committed relationship.

If I remember right there is a little bit of language in this one.

loved it. epic, really took a long time to get through, but amazing, interesting, and educational.
Bloody (literally) fantastic start to an excellent and intriguing new fantasy series, that happens to be the proud owner of a brilliantly twisted sense of humour. It not only has a great plot but some truly awesome characters; none of them are exactly goodies but all are so well drawn that I now find it hard to pick a favourite (although I think Jezal might just have the edge for me - I was always a sucker for a louche, arrogant gobshite). I can't wait to see where this is going, and am looking forward to meeting some more Eaters...

Took a short break from fantasy to read this book yesterday - I definitely felt for Melissa. The author creates a very realistic and touching portrayal of depression. However, I don't really understand why it's supposed to be such a classic..it's good but maybe a little too much hype? I have also been hearing a lot about Wintergirl and since it will take forever for my library to get a copy, I decided to read this first to see what the author was like.

Book 3 makes a lot more sense after reading book 2. This is a fun teenage series.
I went back and forth about this book. It took me a little while to like it, but mid-way and through most of the rest I really enjoyed it. Unfortunately, the ending left me feeling less than satisfied. Overall, I am glad that I read it, and was very impressed by the language and writing.
"Funes, The Memorious" is a story I just happened upon exactly when I happened to need it. Lovely, the chance gifts of life and the given attention to detail.
