Review cross-posted on my blog The Radical Question: What Is Jesus Worth To You, written by pastor David Platt is designed to make today’s Christian take a good hard look at themselves and challenges them to answer this question. Using his first-hand experience of house churches in China and contrasts the differences of these pious believers with an American megachurch, which he took pastor-ship of within weeks of visiting China. In an attempt to bring to light, exactly what Christ expects of us when we choose to follow Him. The audio book is narrated by Lloyd James. The narration is professionally done and the narrator has a soothing tone with interesting voice inflections, which keeps the pace of the story going. This audio book is approximately 50 minutes long, and can easily be listened to in one sitting. I would recommend this book to every Christian, especially those getting a bit distracted by their stuff and a bit too comfortable with their “religion”. After listening to this audiobook, they just might realize that they aren’t doing as Christ commanded. He commanded us to leave behind everything: security, family, wealth, in order to follow Him. I wonder how they would answer the question: “What Is Jesus Worth To You?” Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free through the christianaudio Reviewers Program. I feel like i expected too much from this book. It ended alright. But overall this series was pretty good. and i was sort of hoping for a better conclusion to the series but that's okay. i'm still glad i read it to finish the series.

This was fun, though not as good as his Pitt novels from the past. It is obvious his son is writing these, and he lacks the grand staging and hard-hitting suspense. But the characters remain true to form and it is still worth the read.

Although I did find the whole medical injury of left neglect fascinating, I did not find the story that compelling. I just was not that interested in the whole yuppy thing and the too pat ending. The book that I really liked was her previous one, Still Alice.

I enjoyed this cozy mystery, although I figured it out in the first chapters. Interesting characters, although Robin grated on my nerves. Brooklyn was a very good friend to her.

Clary Fray is like any other teenager in New York with a slightly over protective mom until one night when she sees 3 teenagers kill a demon. Life as Clary knows it will never be the same. Now she can see things that others can not see, then her mom is kidnapped and now Clary is hiding from all the things that go bump in the night. With the help of the Shadowhunters Clary is trying to unravel the secrets her mom keep hidden and find the key that will save them all. I have read this book twice now. The first time I loved and was determined to read the whole series. The second time I loved and I am still determined to read the whole series but now I own all the books and will start working my way through them. What I like about the characters is that they are not your stereotypical teen story. These teens are smart strong and very strong headed. Clary her self is a strong independent girl who is not going to go along with anything just because some boy named Jace tells her whats what. She pushes back and is determined to fight right along her new companions to save herself. The plot goes along a bit predictable and then a twist and then another twist and then a "did I read that correctly" twist. Then you stay up late to finish everything just to see what happens....I did this twice. This is a great YA book. It has shades of Harry Potter, Rachel Morgan and just for fun Luke Skywalker all in one character.

So good. Its like our generations Ender's Game with a female protagonist and not set in space. Another book that is like crack cocaine. Easy to get addicted to and unable to let go. I carry it with me in my head and shout it out when anyone asks me "have you read anything good lately?"
