** spoiler alert ** 3.5 stars. In this graphic novel, a frog tells the story of a young disaffected twenty-something alienated from himself and his family. He attends the last family vacation with his parents, older siblings, young niece and toddler nephew. On this vacation he experiences the end of a life long love -- his parents announce their divorce -- and what appears to be the beginning of a romantic relationship with a young beach comber. The angst greatly outweighs the profundity but the tale is compelling and fast moving. Despite the sad outline the drawings are curious and the story is revealed with some suspense. The reading made for an enjoyable afternoon in real life.

I was told by several people to expect disappointment at the end of this book. I actually really liked the ending. In fact, I was prepared to give the book 3 stars "I liked it", until I completed the book. I appreciated the ending so much that I'm giving the book 4 stars "I really liked it" instead. Like the first and second books in the trilogy, the book was a bit disturbing, but it was profound and really made me think.

I finished this book and the thought that came to mind was: I don't know if i like this book or if i want to throw it across the room. It did everything i knew it was going to do when i picked it up, and that was it. I was hoping for some twist or turn that would make it different from similar books, and it just didn't seem to. It is an easy read however, which is always good.

This book was really interesting from a lot of perspectives. First of all, Ehrman is a really intruiging guy. He went from a nerdy little Moody Bible student to a highly controversial critic of Christianity. You'll learn a ton about the history of the Bible from this book, but he doesn't really deliver on the whole misquoting Jesus premise. In actuality the examples he's able to give in that area are really flimsy--where you kind of go...that's it? That's the best you could come up with? Because the problematic passages are really insignificant to the faith. But the history of the New Testament is very fascinating and he does share a few things your average Christian scholar would prefer to skip over or ignore. However, it's important to remember how many people disagree about the origins of various books of the Bible. You can hardly get two scholar to agree, regardless of their religious background or intentions. So, every book like this has to be viewed through that lens. Some is historical fact and some is his own belief based on his studies of what little we actually know.

I think that this book is very good. It is confusing at times, but otherwise it is very amusing. The graphics are beautiful!! I wouldn't buy this book without color pictures. It is a wonderful book.
