I really enjoyed reading of Katharine of Aragon and her childhood in Spain, as well as her journey to the throne as Queen of England. It was a good read. It wasn't my favorite Philippa Gregory novel, but it was still worth reading.

I really liked this book. I was drawn into it quickly and had a hard time putting it down. I don't like scary books, this was a bit scary, but not too bad for a whimp like me!
Morrell keeps things moving and pages turning -- he's not afraid to kill off a few of our heroes (thankfully) and keep the baddies always on top. Definetely recommended to those looking for a quick and entertaining read, I enjoyed it.

I absolutely loved this book. Had me completely engrossed from the very first line: “Hey, Charley: Just a brief note to let you know that aside from being THE WORST COLUMNIST WHO EVER LIVED!!! you are quite THE MOST SELF-ABSORBED WOMAN ON THE PLANET!!!” What’s not to love about a mystery that starts like that? Everything. I really enjoyed reading this. Charley {Charlotte} Webb, mother of two—Franny and James—is a controversial journalist for the Palm Beach Post that’s always stirring up an assortment troublesome email each week and receives a few threatening—to her and her children—emails—and a letter from Jill Rohmer, a convicted, three time child killer on death row, to do a book on the truth about what really happened that starts a world wind of events. I had my suspicion on the about Jill’s Jack and the author of those scary emails Charley kept getting about her children and for a split second, a twist near the end threw me for a loop. But regardless of who the killer turned out to be, Charley’s Web kept me anxiously awaiting the next move with each visit to Pembroke Women’s Correctional.

judy blume for adolescent lesbians. this book is super-earnest, but i really loved it. i think it would have meant a great deal to me if i had read it at the age of 14 or so. it's a fast read, and you really have to be in a pretty fuff place to deal with it, but it resonated with me.
one of my favorite books of all time..

Tried to get into this kinda strange genre - blurring novel, but after roughly 100 pages, nothing about it was appealing to me. Maybe some other time.

Added to my to-read list based on this short tweet from David Dark: "And now again (perhaps the feeling will fade), The Left Hand of Darkness feels like the best book I know by any living writer."

Took awhile for him to get this book out, and I think in the meantime my interest in the series and the story at large has waned a bit. I'll probably read the last one when he publishes it just for, you know, closure and all. There are still a few characters with whom I'm interested in seeing the outcome.
