Oooooh....dragons. Quinn was such a unique character for me. The fact that he's a blacksmith in modern day was so...cool. That he's a dragon shifter? Even cooler. I loved the chemistry between him and Sarah. The series is unique even though dragons seem to be the in thing a few years ago. I have questions about the dragon's history but I'm looking forward to finding out the answers. Although some of it feels predictable: they feel the firestorm and know they're going to find their mate and then when it's over they've knocked up the girl. Where's the conflict going to be in the relationship? How will there be a black moment? These things I need to find out...so yeah...I'll be reading more.

As a self-respecting woman in the 21st century, I should be outraged at this books' misogeny... but then I would have to overlook a way of looking at the world that is both vibrant and dying. It's more of an artist's manifesto than a novel persay, a thinly veiled autobiographical look at an American in paris.

This book is written from the mind of a 7 year old, and it portrays though thoughts very nicely. It's pleasant to read, full of emotion, and it got me reading it in almost one sitting, which doesn't happen too often.

To the many Stephen King haters out there ... I give you - The Stand! Big, meaty, character-driven and completely engrossing. Transcends the horror genre with a post-apocalyptic road trip through good and evil. The characters stuck with me so much that I still refer to some types of unsavories as being "like Harold." I liked Stephen King before this book, but I'm a die-hard defender now. Thanks, Mike.
