This is the first book in the Jaine Austen series. Jaine finds herself writing a love letter for a nerd type character Howard Murdoch, little did she know a murder would take place. With Howard under arrest for the murder of a girl no one liked named Stacy, it’s up to Jaine to use whatever alias she can come up with to nab the bad guy everything from a cop, to a New York Times reporter. All this while flashing her Bloomingdales credit card, no one said she wasn’t creative. Jaine along with her cat Prozac lead us down the road of many laugh fits as she figures out who the murder is. I am a huge fan of Laura Levine and her character Jaine who always has me laughing out loud.

Reading Nostromo doesn’t give a moment peace, but lots of joy! Set in the fictitious South American republic of "Costaguana". Scott Fitzgerald has said, "I'd rather have written Nostromo than any other novel". Charles Gould, a native Costaguanero of English descent, owns a silver-mining concession. He is tired of the political instability and corruption, so he suport totaliterian Ribiera (government), as he believes he will finally bring stability. Instead, he inspires a new round of revolutions which brings more chaos. Nostromo, is an Italian expatriate who has risen to his position through his daring exploits, respected by the wealthy Europeans but not able to command power among the local population. He is entrusted with removing the silver from Sulaco to keep it from the revolutionaries. His power continues to grow, as he rides over the mountains to summon the army which saves Sulaco's leaders from the revolutionaries. Feeling that he has risked his life for nothing, Nostromo is consumed by resentment, which leads to his corruption and ultimate destruction. Then he is shot and killed, mistaken for a trespasser, by the father of his fiancée. The one who rob the boat full of silver, is alone overflowing by wealth! خبر ندارم اگر این اثر کنراد به فارسی ترجمه شده باشد در مورد جوزف کنراد و آثارش، مشروح تر اینجا نوشته ام http://www.goodreads.com/author_blog_...

This book is really interesting, because I like Honda's/Acura's they're not that hard to work on. They are easy to make go fast, they're engines are not as complicated as cars can be. This book lets you know what engines come in what honda, acura, etc.

One of my more-liked Shakespeare plays. I even liked the movie version with that one actor whose name has slipped my mind. Kevin Kline! That's the deuce. Yeah, he's a pretty good chap.

it was kind of funny. the story is about a freshman in college who wants to be an art major and the ridiculous things his professors tell him to do. in one section in particular his class is required to design a sign that grabs and holds a passer-by's attention. once they've made their signs the prof drives them out to the middle of nowhere and leaves them by the side of the road. who ever has the more clever/attention getting sign got a ride back to campus more quickly. the heirarchy follows as such with the protagonist last, if i remember correctly. hell, it was freshman year... anyway. i do remember getting into it because there were some parallels between the book and my life at the point. good read if you are a freshman art student. otherwise, meh. your choice.

This is the first English novel i have finished in full of enthusiasm. Even it took more than a day to finish, I really happy with the settings of the novel. It helped me a lot to understand, especially the situation in the court and how to handle a case in critical situation. Grisham is the best!! Bought in CFS PJ, 2009 Finished : 19-22 March 2011, HUSM, Sweet Home

Realmente disfruté la historia, aunque fue difícil de leer. La transformación es tan fluida que es realmente inquietante.
