This is probably a chick book. It was all about family relationships. The main characters were triplets on their 33rd birthday. The triplet relationship was interesting. The sister relationship was interesting. And, it was written pretty well.

This book was funny! I had heard good things about Christopher Moore, and I gave it a shot. Don't pick it up if you are sensitive to the "F" word.

It's a Sanskrit-German grammar. The words aren't transliterated, you'll have to be able to read the Devanagari script. Otherwise, there are some lexical information like part of speech, gender and sometimes the accent is marked on the word. An explanation for this dictionary is very short, not even half a page. Thus, only 3 stars.

Too long, exhausting to read, not true to the original.

There are two sentences in the book where, discussing the horrors of the newly-created atom bomb, Ondaatje changes from the archetypal postmodernist into a polemicist. Given the weight of the subject, I suppose that's understandable. Other than that, the book is great.

Very thorough explanation of the "natural" approach to pregnancy, labor, and delivery. Includes the history of the Bradley method (skip-able) along with lots of valuable information that mamas and papas can use throughout the pre- and post-natal time. Great detailed description of laboring positions and techniques for dealing with pain, but would benefit from illustrations. (You can get those in Natural Childbirth the Bradley Way.) Overall, this book could serve as an expecting couple's one-and-only guide to pregnancy and childbirth.

Not exactly what I had in mind for the ending of my favorite series, but worth the read anyway.

I can't list when I read this book because I am always reading this book. It's a good life-long project. Everyone should read this -- just pick it up, open to any page, and start reading. Take your time, read it out loud, and stop worrying about whether or not it has to make some overall kind of sense. Whitman's free spirit and attention to detail can be mesmerizing and beneficial. Sound your own "barbaric yawp!"
