An enjoyable fictionalized story of Laura Bush. The author developed a character readers could like and felt sympathetic for. The last section of the book glossed over her time as First Lady which was disappointing.

This Is Where I Leave You by Jonathan Tropper is a 2009 release that is just as funny as it is poignant. Sort of a coming of age novel for adults, Judd deals with his circus of a family just as his wife leaves him and his father passes away. If you enjoy engaging stories that can make you laugh but are also thoughtful and poignant, you may like to try something by Jonathan Tropper. I’d suggest one of his recent titles, This Is Where I Leave You.

I liked it a lot. It was a very immersive universe that is revealed throughout the book. I liked it enough that I read the second part of the story, Judas Unchained also. As my first sampling of Peter F. Hamilton I look forward to reading other of his books.

This book bored me immensely. Perchance because I've never actually read it, but rather had my mom read it to me as a bedtime story when I was little. And maybe I wasn't so much bored as...young and tired. I remember actually being interested in what happened, but I couldn't honestly tell you much about the story. There's a swan with a trumpet. Yup.
