Entertaining, quick read, and also touched on some interesting issues about humanity and its future. When I read it I couldnt help thinking that it was a Brave New World-light, for kids.

WOW. That was literally the only word going through my usually busy head after finishing this book. I expected it to be good, but this was just... wow! The Iron Fey series is literally my favourite set of faery-oriented novels ever. In every single book, (the mind-blowing) Julie Kagawa manages to expand on extremely lovable characters, put them through heart-wrenching trials, and write descriptions that play like a movie in your mind. Everything she puts down in her beautiful writing style is so easy to imagine! After the heartbreaking end of the third book in this series, The Iron Queen, I couldn't help but squeal when I found out that there was going to be a fourth book — in Ash's point of view! If you ever thought you loved this amazing Winter prince before, get ready to fall all over again. Many female writers have trouble writing in a guy's point of view, but not Julie Kagawa! Everything about Ash and his interpretation was just flawless! Full of twists and turns that you don't expect, and following a team of returning characters that you can't help but adore, The Iron Knight is the perfect ending to an amazing series. Definitely one of my favourites! BUY or BORROW?: Are you kidding me? Buy it, of course! In fact, while you're at it, buy the whole darn series! If you haven't started reading The Iron Fey books yet, I wholeheartedly recommend that you do so now! ARC was provided by the publisher for an honest review. A very vivid account of a girl growing up in Brooklyn, NY, in the early 1900s. The author has a very distinct, matter-of-fact voice and includes so many details that it really captures a time and place in history. Many characters you can't help but care about. This had been recommended to me many times, but I was never interested in the book. I picked it up to listen to in my commuting time mainly to get it off my conscience, but it really grew on me. I had thought it was a children's book, but it is not, unless you want your children to learn the facts of life on the streets of Brooklyn. It is largely about the immigrant experience, and how reading and education become the way to a better life.

Over all the book was a great/weird book but always was one problem in every chapter so I thought it was a funny book.

Having visited Florence and the Duomo this summer, I really enjoyed this book and am even more amazed by the dome. Next visit I will have to pay attention to the dome for some of the things I learned in this book. For anyone interested in architecture, Florence, or the Renaissance, I recommend it.

Though "revised" the core of the book is reasonable but deep pessimism rooted in the apparent trends of the 1970's and 1980's. Despite the mention of a few more contemporary events, it is still outdated pessimism that needs to be replaced with 21st century pessimism.

From time to time when I need a pick-me-up I go back to this and read a little for comfort.

Though it didn't retain the Douglas Adams witticisms that make the Hitchhiker's series so, so very funny, And Another Thing... was an entertaining read (even if I didn't laugh out loud once) with a refreshing dash of Eoin Colfer's personal writing flavor.
Don DeLillo part two of two. Liked it less than White Noise - but it's got enough themes to keep me thinking for many many years to come. Def worth a re-read. A hopeful but scarred ending in Beirut.
