I liked this second book better than the first surprisingly. It had more action and the pace was perfect and kept me wanting more. I definitely recommend this read if you read the first.

This is, by far, my favorite book of all time. You have to get through the first 30 chapters or so (chapters are short--sometimes less than a page) before it starts to get really amazing, but once I got there, I couldn't put the book down. And when I finished I kept looking for more pages, hoping they'd magically appear and the story could continue. I love books that require a vivid imagination and this is no exception. An Indian boy is in a massive shipwreck that leaves him stranded on a lifeboat with a Bengal tiger for hundreds of days. One of my favorite lines from the book: "Things didn't turn out the way they were supposed to, but what can you do? You must take life the way it comes at you and make the best of it."

Love Tom Colicchio (Craft is my all-time favorite restaurant in the city). Sandwiches? Not so much. They're probably one of my least favorite foods. I got to meet Tom at a book signing, and he's pretty cool. Looks exactly like he does on television, and he seemed like an overall nice guy from the .2 seconds I talked to him. I have yet to try any of the recipes in this book, but some of them look absolutely delicious. Especially the desserts. Banana bread with caramel ice cream and pecan brittle? Sign me up!
