Holy Moly! Have other people read this???? They should. The Holocaust was disgusting and the wide breadth of prisoners is astonishing. How does Pahor make 14 months feel like an eternity? So many holocaust stories involve the narrator just barely surviving -- even as liberation is coming. Imagine being so close and so close to death. Great book. THANK YOU, DALKEY! I picked this up on a whim.

This book is a sweet dream of the sexuality of darkness, with a little punch of the abstract. I loved it. It's a very fun read and has some nice romantic elements. It kind of gives you a twist on the knight in dented armor. Fun, fluffy and doesn't take it's self too seriously. The author wants you to enjoy yourself and come back for more. She has succeeded.

This book was an ok book. Say Goodbye is about a man, that when he was younger was kidnapped, and when he grew up he started kidnapping and molesting young boys. He would keep one to be his "Pet" then the others he would kill. Its sick to think that this actually happens in our world, I could not imagine someone doing this to a 5 year old boy. It does have a sad but good ending.

When we read this book, we were also studying ancient Greece, so I think that helped to make it easier to understand. I liked it, and thought that all of the individual adventures inside of the big adventure were, besides very unfortunate, a good way of writing.
