Found this book on the bottom of a TBR Pile too big to look thru. Thats why I missed it for some time...Good thig I had the time to stft this weekend. Had only book 1 in paperback so now I want to have the set...Ordering as we speak. This book reminds me of the Changelings in a way...very interesting scientific world and I just adore that world. Our hero thinks he is cursed because he is ever haunted by weather.He can control it and Mother Nature plays games with him. Written by two famous paranormal authors, the story is both intelligent and steamy... If you havent read...a must try

Short stories without many words. Cute and creepy and surreal. I tend to get impatient trying to follow the narrative in comics that don't have words, and this is no exception. Didn't get into it. Liked the art well enough, though.

This novel caught me by surprise. Having read this book in high school, I vaguely remembered the plot and, hence, was not prepared for the emotional upheaval that the storyline presented to me. Slowly but surely the progress of the pigs brought back memories of the "cold war" and communist regimes of the past. Orwell was indeed a master at weaving an tragedy and an animalistic metaphor.

** spoiler alert ** Another excellent children's book on Autism! It captures so very well some of the unique characteristics of children with autism. We especially liked how they described the boy not liking new people for the same reason he didn't like new shoes: "new people gave him blisters on his brain." His reaction to their great-aunt reminded us so much of Mikey and Nonna!

Audio book I have found that I can't listen to "real" literature while I'm cleaning, etc. My solution is to listen to books like this one. I can follow them without paying too much attention, and still get some work done. Nothing exceptional, just a murder/mystery...
