love this book as well!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! clary seem like a very sweet character and jace seems hot and clary's friend seems cute even though he is nerdy............ i kinda just know that clary and jace would become close but i never thought they would be so close like brother and sister which they are supposed to be in the ending of the book.... \supposedly jace is Johnathon clary's long lost brother.... so sad...:'(

Great book. it's very thorough (800+ pages) and may not be for everyone but it gives a great look at three major topics: 1. Segregation, especially when it comes to education, in the South 2. The legal strategies employed by Marshall and the NAACP to try to combat various segregation laws 3. An inside look at the Warren court of '53-54 and their internal debates, deliberations, etc. History buffs, legal buffs and civil rights buffs will enjoy it.

Jeanne Logue was born in Brooklyn, NY, and decided at the age of 5 to be a veterinarian. She took pre-vet courses at Brooklyn college and got her DVM degree at Cornell before you saw very many female vets and none of her girl friends planned on working after they were married much less to have a professional career. Her books tells about her patients and their owners; good, bad and indifferent, her joy at birth, satisfaction after a difficult recovery and her feelings for an animal when there is nothing that she can do to save it. She also tells how her job ties in with being a wife and raising children in the 1954's when there was no pre-school or day care center. I knew Mrs. Logue and I was surprised when I read this book because I didn't know that she could write so well. I was also surprised because the book is unexpectedly open and honest.
